First I had to design the houses. Then it took over an hour just to choose the fabric. I finally went with the girls' favorite colors.
I needed a pocket to insert a check, and thought that it would be safe inside the front door. The buttons used for the door nobs are over 75 yrs old! The reason for the fire print on the front door? My son-in-law is the president of "CMA", (Christian Motorcycle Assoc.) and I wanted him to feel special. He noticed it right away.
I even put pleated curtains in the bright sunny window.
I had a chance to practice different quilting methods! It was great fun, and boosted my confidence for bigger projects.

These are wonderful - you really did come up with a clever way to give those checks. I love all the little details :)
The pillows are great! I might do that for my kids when they get their own homes (minus the $$ of course!) ;-)
What a fantastic idea! You are so creative! I'm sure your daughters loved the pillows (and the check). They turned out lovely.
