All of the fabrics have to do with 'road work'. It just screams "little boy"!! Do you see the tire track print for one of the borders?
I didn't have much fabric, so I couldn't fussy cut the way I would have liked. Aren't the silhouettes of the road work signs in the cornerstones cute?
I did simple organic wavy line quilting. I thought that this quilt called for simple lines. Nothing to fancy for this little man.
This checkered flag print makes such a fun binding!
The same checkered flag print also makes great sashing.
I have never attempted a back with so many pieces. It turned out just a little crooked, but I like it non the less!
I guess it can get kind of dizzying when you look at it from this angle! It measures 44x44. I hope you have enjoyed this "Road Work Ahead" quilt as much as I do!
Go on over to My Quilt Infatuation and check out all of the other "Needle and Thread Thursday" participants. There are some super inspirational quilts and projects out there! See the button below.

It's just darling! It will be loved
Very cute. Little boys sometimes don't get the cute quilts they deserve--but this one is great. Love the texture that the wavy-line quilting adds.
Just so cute!! Great job.
That's a great quilt , Vicki. Someone will be happy to have that for their little man. Hope it brings a lot at your charity sale. Love your photos!
A little guy will just love this. Your photography really sets the quilt off well, too!
I am so glad you linked the cute quilt up to Needle and Thread Thursday! Thank you!

OMG! This is so darn cool! I love the fabric and simplicity of this one. Love your photo shoot too! I'm so glad this is archived under our boys theme...so I can refer to it in the future.
