Gifts from great friends! And a giveaway!!

I went to a retreat about 6 weeks ago.  My friends Deborah from Simply Miss Luella and Cindy from
Live A Colorful Life were also there!  I had admired the projects that they were working on, and they BOTH gave me some of their scraps!!  Wow, did I ever feel privileged!!

These lovely prints are from Deborah!

And these are from Cindy!  (I added the zips!)  Thanks guys, what a treat!

With this pouch, I quilted around all of the designs.....

.....and added an inside pocket.  Aren't these colors yummy?

And now I have a great size pouch!! 12 1/2 X 7 1/2

With this pouch, I fussy cut each square to include these great motifs!  Then I diagonally quilted each 3 in square.

I then  added an inside pocket. Never to many pockets!

Check out that pinking sheers, pincushions, seam rippers, etc!

Look at that sewing machine.  This is sew perfect for my notions!!!  It measures 8 X 10.

Look Lorna (Sew Fresh Quilts), I even got the pin centered on the zipper pull!

And there you have it.  Love from my friends made into two perfect pouches!  Thank you guys for this gift!!!

I can hardly believe that this is my 100th post!!  I feel so lucky to have made so many wonderful quilty friends since I started blogging back in April of this year.  I didn't even know how to download photos from my camera, so the first few posts have no pictures!!

I'm linking with Kelly at Needle & Thread Thursday!  Have a great time looking around!!

  10. What darling pouches you made.

I love both sets of fabric, but I think the first set would make me think outside my box, so I'll go for that one.
