A test for sweet Lorna!

I have never pattern tested for a quilt mini before, so I thought I'd give it a try.  Lorna from Sew Fresh Quilts is a master at designing quilts and patterns, and this is one of her latest.  When she put out the call for testers, I thought why not.  I'm so glad I did.  I immediately went over to 'Mad About Patchwork' and ordered the kit.  It is made up of all Kona solids and came quickly, with friendly service.

Above is the PDF pattern and all the pieces.

To the left are all the pieces labeled and ready to sew together.

It's all together and basted.  Now, how should I quilt this little beauty?

I decided on matchstick quilting in off white Aurifil with a 3.5 stitch and a walking foot.
I used black Kona solid for the binding.

Here is the pocket corners for the flat hanging rod.
A little closer shot of the binding and quilting.  This mini measures 14x33.  All of the solids are Kona and the back is 'Canning Day' by Mama's Cottons for Connecting Threads.  I used 'Warm and White' for the batting.

Thank you so much Lorna, for the opportunity to test this fun and wonderful pattern!  Linking to Sew Fresh Quilts!!
