My machine seldom goes unused for more then just over night. But, every once in a while it sits for a few days at a time. I decided that Miss Ellie needed a pretty cozy for just those occasions.
I dug into my scraps and found just the ones I wanted to use. I also decided to do something I had never done before.....keep reading.
I used every decorative stitch (that I liked) on my sewing machine! I have never used decorative stitches for anything before. It was fun. Some I will use again and others not so much. This cozy fits best with the table off. More fun color and brightness added to my sewing cave!

Miss Ellie looks so pretty in her new cozy. What a great project for trying out her fancy stitches! Looks like you had fun!
Well done! My aching doesn't rest for long either. Always so much to sew ; )
Really cute, Vicki! I like your opening at the sides too. I try and use some of my fancy stitches, but they don't get out often. This was a great way to sample a whole bunch. Nice!
I keep thinking about making such a thing--your cute cozy nudges me closer to doing it! :-)
A lovely cover to keep the 'night dust' off Ellie the Elna! It's fun using those decorative stitches for a project like this!
So happy that you stepped over to the other side, Miss Vicki.....the land of decorative stitching!! I love Miss Ellie's brightly coloured cover. 'Tis becoming very vibrantly coloured in your sewing nook!
What a fun and simple sewing project! I think THIS is what I;ll do for the sewing mat I need/want to make!! Thanks for the inspiration Vicki!!
It is so pretty! I love all the different stitches, this is a great project to use them on isn't it. Perhaps it will inspire you for future projects. xx
This is a fabulous sewing machine cover Vicki! What a fun thing to do- adding all the machine embroidery stitches!
So pretty! And with all the decorative stitches on display, it'll be easier to remember you have them and use them on future projects.
I love all the fabric choices. I'm partial to scrappy projects.
I love those colourful fabrics with the decorative stitches. It's turned out beautifully :)
