LET'S GET AQUAINTED!!

I absolutely love meeting bloggers that I have never met!  The inspiration is.....well, inspirational!  I am linking to Life's Rich Pattern for this Plum and June "Let's Get Acquainted" Monday Link Up!!!  Also, Plum and June are hosting the NEW BLOGGERS BLOG HOP starting in one week.  To sign up or learn more about it, click on Plum and June just above!

These are burp clothes that I am working on for my new grand baby!!  Yes, we just found out that my daughter-in-law is expecting their/our first!  We are thrilled and wait with anticipation.  Lots to do between now and November!

I am also involved in a first for me, a collaborative quilt!  Each of us is making 12 nine patch squares, to measure 6 in. finished, and 12 hour glass squares, also to measure 6 in. finished.  This is so much fun!  I look forward to sharing more as time goes on.

"Java Stars" was pieced by my friend Barb!  She did such a great job.  She asked me to quilt it for her.  So, this is the last of my 'practice' quilts for learning how to machine quilts.  It was a challenge, but so much fun!  I am pleased with it, I hope that she will be too!

I have so many projects waiting in the wings.  I will tell you a little about me.  I sew with donated fabrics, UFO's and kits!  My quilt tops and projects are auctioned off once a year at a charity auction.  All of the money raised goes towards disaster relief through the "West Coast Mennonite Sale & Auction for World Relief" organization.  They are near and dear to my heart.  I have been to 42 of these auctions over the years!  For more information, go to www.westcoastmccsale.org or email: westcoast@mcc.org.  Using donated fabric presents a challenge all its own.  I get to hunt for the perfect pattern and fabric combo to appeal to the masses!  I encourage each of you to search your stash and your hearts to see what/where you can donate!!

I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!

BTW, do you know you have word verification on your comments - it tends to put some people off leaving a comment. A series of misdiagnosis have allowed the spread of Charles's colon Cancer which has now spread to his liver and kidneys, We abruptly found out about his cancer on may 26th 2013, it is spreading as we speak we are looking to try something called cannabis oil possibly chemo therapy.
This is a extremely hard and sad time for us, My father is the sole provider for his wife and 4 kids, twins 12 years, son 16years and daughter 13 years, he is now no longer able to work and is not only stressing about surviving but also how he will support his family and pay for alternative life saving treatments.
This traumatic finding of cancer is extremely sad and stressful on our family; we are trying anything we can to get Charles healthy
We have started the Phoenix Tears/cannabis oil Treatment partnered with Chemo Therapy and a major change in diet. The Phoenix tears is crucial to saving charles's life these treatments are 80$ per day over 2400$ per month.
Any support you can contribute to help Charles & family make it through these tough time would be so appreciated.
Thank you for your love and support!
