These daisies were on a 4 piece panel. They had been cut out so wonky, that I had to use only the flower portion and not the border portion. I used 'wonder under' by Pellon. I then cut each flower out very carefully.
I purchased Kona black for the background and a tone on tone for each flowers sashing.
I attached each daisy to the black by quilting outlines of each. These are each raw edged appliqued on. In the black I did FMQ. In the colored sashing, I did a loose loops, each with matching thread.
I then took the leftover strips and pieced the back. These pictures make the colors washed out, they really are bright!
I love these corner hanging triangles. Thanks Lorna from Sew Fresh Quilts! I appreciate the lesson.
Here you get a really good sense of how it was quilted. This will hang on the wall in my living room.
32x32.
Here is a look at my "modern daisies" new home. This is in my living room. I like that there isn't a lot on this wall. She has to speak for herself!

Such lovely bright colours and it looks great hanging there in your room. I especially like the way you FMQ'ed the flower petals as it adds texture :)

Your new Modern Daisies wall hanging looks perfect in her new home. Love those bright colours! And your quilting is simply amazing, my friend. You are sew talented!
so pretty, it looks like a botanical print. I can see that there was a lot of careful cutting out there!
Fantastic! I love the bright colours! A lot of time and effort was put into cutting out those flowers and then stitching them down.. and the quilting! She definitely deserves the place of honour on that wall!

Nice. You definitely know how to match the right colors. Plus great quilting!
I love how you've appliqued the daisies onto the dark background. I saw a cushion in a shop done this way, with lots of small flowers appliqued on. One day I'll try something similar. Hope mine ends up half as good as yours.

I'm thinking of using those corner triangles on a little wallhanging I'm working on, they look like just the thing for my small project. Thanks for sharing on Val's Quilting Studio.
