I'm a real runner!!

No, not physically, but I am loving all my sew runners in my sewing room!  I have now completed 3 and have about 6 more to go.  These guys are quick and fun.  I am all for both of those traits.

I have a small 3 shelf bookcase near my sewing machine, and use it all the time.  I don't like dust or to dust, so I decided that a table runner was the answer.

Cindy at Live A Colorful Life gave me a mini charm pack of 'April Showers', and I love how cheerful these fabrics look.  I ordered a second pack, and here they are.
This is the very first time I've used my design wall!  As you can see, I haven't even pressed it yet.  I still need to add some grommets to the bottom and secure it.
I decided to go with a pretty dense matchstick quilting.  All I had was a scrap of polyester batting, so I had to do something to tame the loft.
I grabbed a couple of scraps from my stash, and I'm thinking that it all came together pretty well.

Finished size is 10x28.  I'm loving how fun and bright it came out.

Dusting is such a thankless task--the dust just comes right back. Boo! Your runner is a happy solution. And the striped border is delightful.
