Sometimes I forget to stop and look at what our city has to offer. Especially in 'downtown' Fresno. I had to go to the Amtrak station, to pick up my dear friends who had been gone for a month. While waiting for the train to arrive, I took a moment to stop and look around me. I couldn't believe my eyes. Our downtown is a big contrast between the new and old.
If you look at the background, you see the monolith that is our city hall. In the foreground is the old Santa Fe train depot that has been lovingly restored.
I failed to take any pictures of the inside, but it was all oak and iron. Absolutely beautiful!
Interesting that the engine was pushing the train into town!
Just thought you'd want to know!
Kind of a Random Thursday!! with Live a Colorful Life! Thanks Cindy!

I love how so many cities are sprucing up their old, downtown areas and making them great places to visit. Seems like more and more people are taking the train too. Have a great day!
I love the little look at your town! And I love trains!
Gorgeous buildings you have there Miss Vicki!! Santa Fe.....mmmmm.....I almost expect to see Errol Flynn or perhaps Randoph Scott to disembark from that train!! Lovely photos Miss Vicki!!
I've never been to Fresno (or California, for that matter...!) but the mix of architecture is really interesting. Maybe someday I'll get to see it for myself!
The tiles in the women's bathroom have a really cool pattern--I snapped a picture as a possible pieced border idea.
