Another new baby?

Well...she is MY new baby!

OK, she purrs instead of cries, but I am so excited to welcome her into the family.

First, I had to pack up my old Elna and all of the accessories to get them ready to go!

Then I had to clear away all of the dust and cob webs to get everything ready for our new baby.

I tell you what, it is like Disneyland for quilters!!!!!

And then....there she was....AAAAAHH!! My new Elna eXcellence 720!!!!!!!!!!!!

I left my old Elna Quilters Pro 7200 there, snatched up my new Elna eXcellence 720 and took her home. How exciting to open all the packages and set her up!

Here she is all neat and tidy...

...and here she is, already hard at work! Thank you Larry (our local Central Valley Elna dealer) , for all of your help and your kindness. I am so excited to get this machine a smokin'!!!

What kind of sewing machine do you have?  I'd love to see and hear all about it.  Dreaming of a new machine?  What kind would you get if you could have any machine?  Would keep your old machine and just add a new one?  I love talking about stuff like this.  Share your story!

Awww! What a sweet baby! Looks like you have plenty of room for quilting on her. My baby is a little Janome. But I wish I had his big brother. Don't get me wrong.... Jamome keeps me happy! Hope your new Elna does the same for you, Vicki!

Your new baby is as 'purty as a picture', Miss Vicki!! Looks as if she is settled into her new home already. Mmmmmm... I wonder if she knew what she was getting into going home with the quilting "Wonder Woman"!! Now as for me, I have a wonderful Janome and she is a faithful work horse, though I must admit, I yearn for the top of the range quilting Bernina....maybe one day if I am a very good li'l gal!!

I've never tried an Elna before, yours looks very nice!
It looks like it has lots of room for those bigger quilts. Lucky girl!
I just bought a Janome Horizon and I really love it. It has lots of room for quilting too.
Have fun with your brand new machine!!!

How wonderful! I hope you'll enjoy her and I'm sure you will. I have a very basic Janome Sewist and I sometimes dream of upgrading one day but I don't know what I'd choose :)

Congrats on your new machine! I'm sure you will love it. New machines are so wonderful - I have my newer Viking Sapphire almost 1 year now, I still use the original one I received when I was 16! Lots of happy sewing to you!

What a great treat - a new machine. Well you certainly will get good use out of it. I have an old kenmore that hubby bought me about 10 years ago. I never used it much (though I Loved having it) until I started quilting this year. I love it! My niece brought over a fancy Singer with a lot of bells and whistles and I felt a twinge of envy when I saw all the stitches it could make but after I sewed on it a bit I realized that I like mine best :). I did tell my husband my next machine needs a larger throat but who knows when that will be. I love my kenmore; it works perfectly for all of my projects.
